Nowadays, posting pictures of our faces on the Internet became natural behaviour due to the development of social networks such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and Snapchat. In the young generation called digital native, it can be seen that they upload their photographs and selfie which are popular to edit with applications on their smartphones.

As the gap between their virtual and physical faces become wider and wider, it could be seen that losing their personality on their faces, which assumes serious proportions in this world. This condition could be called being ‘faceless’ in that respect.

近年、自分の顔写真をインターネット上に掲載することは、フェイスブック、インスタグラム、ツイッターなどのソーシャルネットワークの発展により、自然な振る舞いとなった。デジタルネイティヴと呼ばれる若い世代の人々の間では、彼らのスマートフォンで画像加工を施した自撮りをアップロードしている姿が見られる。

そして、その画像加工により、バーチャルと現実のギャップはどんどん広がり、彼ら彼女らのもともとの生まれ持った顔の個性は消えているように見受けられる。この事実を「フェイスレス（顔なし）」と呼べるのではないだろうか。
